For admission to the 3MT Program, the following are required:

  • Student should be admitted to one of Stony Brook University's participating Ph. D. graduate programs.
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Award: The scholarship award amount is $30,000 per year. Pending renewal of the 3MT IGERT training program funding, this award is renewable.

Deadline: April 27, 2011 for 2011-2012 award

Funding:

3MT trainees are financially supported by University/Graduate school resources for their 1 st year. For years 2 and 3 of their graduate studies they become 3MT IGERT trainees funded from this NSF-funded training program. The remaining years of their graduate studies are covered by their research advisor’s grants.
